PATERSON, William “Bill” James

Bill passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the age of 75. He was born on August 5, 1943 in Regina, Saskatchewan. Bill graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (1967) from the University of Saskatchewan and was a highly regarded Regina pharmacist and community leader, recognized with numerous awards throughout his career. A long-time member at the Wascana Golf Club, Bill loved golfing with his friends, curling with his boys and friends, and spending his retirement winters in Palm Springs. He was predeceased by his parents, Jessie and Jim Paterson. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Shirley; sons, Michael (Shelley) and Russell (Jodie); grandchildren, Jessica and Mitchell; nephew Paul (Laura), their children Kaylee and Connor; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. At Bill’s request there will be a private family interment. Family and friends are invited to a come and go celebration of Bill’s life at the Wascana Country Club, 6500 Wascana Parkway, Regina, SK on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Pasqua Hospital, Unit 3B, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 1A5. The family wishes to give our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful nurses and doctors of unit 3B at the Pasqua Hospital and the Infusion and Treatment centres for their kindness and care, and the many wonderful friends and neighbours who demonstrated their love and support throughout Bill’s journey.
