Obituary of Josephine Terry

July 23, 1919 - March 9, 2012 Jo passed away peacefully in the early morning of Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Pasqua Hospital with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Terry; parents Joseph and Mirinda Booty; sister Carey; brothers Clarence, Merv and Vern; son-in-law Peter Hackett and daughter-in-law Rose Terry. Jo is survived by her sons Cliff (Judy) and Doug; daughter Barb Hackett; grandchildren Andrea (Brian) Munro, Terry (Yvonne) Hackett, Sandra (Trevor) Norum; great-grandchildren Alix, Sherri, Melissa and Stacey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and grand-nieces. She worked for many years as Secretary for the WaWa Shriners. Jo enjoyed many years as a child and adult at Lumsden Beach and celebrated her 92nd birthday at the cottage this past summer. She felt blessed that she was able to remain in her own home until very recently. Jo was Past Worthy Matron of the Chapter No. 7 of the Order of Eastern Star, a lifetime member of Chapter 7, Past Guardian of Bethel 10 and Past Grand Guardian of the International Order of Jobs Daughters. The family would like to thank Dr. Ron Taylor and staff of 4A at the Pasqua Hospital for their compassionate care in the last few days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind Library, 2550 Broad Street, Regina, SK, S4P 3Z4 or the WaWa Transportation Fund, 2065 Hamilton Street, Regina, SK, S4P 2E1. Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.
