Obituary of Perry Edmund Thomas Masters
Perry Edmund Thomas Masters, age 60, passed away peacefully at home on October 11, 2018 with his partner Patricia, sister Pam, and good friend Karen at his side after a courageous, year long battle with cancer.
Perry was born in Regina on Valentine's Day in 1958 to Syd and Kae (Hogan) Masters.
With the exception of three memorable years as a young child spent in Miami, Florida, Perry lived his whole life in Regina. He graduated from Campbell Collegiate and attended the University of Regina. He was a talented and creative self taught carpenter and was very passionate abut his work. He had a long career in residential construction. He designed and built the first home he lived in and continued building and renovating homes for the rest of his life, including 12 years building log homes all over North America.
Perry had an incredible sense of humour and was a kind gentle, caring and generous person. He was a very loyal friend and maintained many friendships for over 50 years. He was the kind of guy that would do anything for a friend. He was a whiz at trivia games and loved to challenge his mind with puzzles of all kinds. He loved being outdoors, spending time at the lake with family and friends, fishing and having bonfires in the backyard. He loved sports, coaching soccer and was an avid Roughrider fan. Perry's philosophy of life was "to never intentionally hurt another person".
Perry was predeceased by his father Sydney in 1985 and his mother Kathleen and brother Bruce in 1996. He will forever be remembered by his daughter Brittany, his son Andrew and their mother Corlyn; his partner Patricia Davidson, her children Brad, Mitch (Amanda) and Jared Davidson, her grandchildren, Hailey, Jake, Bennett and Nova; sisters Susan Schlotter (Herb), Karen Nicholl (Jim) and Pam Caswell (Ron), and sister in law Terri Lynn Masters; nieces and nephews, Jason Schlotter, Allison Marsh (Joel), Alana Schlotter, Catherine Vani (Aaron), Stephen Nicholl (Courtney), Graham and Brad Masters and Jill and Stu Caswell; 5 great nieces and nephews; long time dear friend Karen Martin, 9 cousins and numerous friends.
