Obituary of Thaoky Dararoy

Thaoky Dararoy, 雲 大 鉅, 86 passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, December 24, 2018. He was very much loved and will be remembered forever by his wife Rasani; son Say; daughters Rhissamay (Ed) Lei, Chanpheng, Monica and Darounwy; and grandchildren Sara and Edison.

Ky was born in Luangprabang Laos. He spent most of his childhood and young adult life raised and educated in Hainan China where he was a teacher and worked in a bank. Ky returned to Luangprabang Laos where he owned and managed a watch/repair store. Dad was an artisan who enjoyed the intricate workings of fine watches. He met and married Rasani. Together they had five children. In 1980 Ky and his family moved and settled in Canada. Dad was known for his fine Chinese calligraphy writing, also his love of Hainan where he returned and visited often.

Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
