It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Reader (Perrin, nee Baller), announces her passing on Friday, December 28, 2018, at the age of 68 years.

Shirley will be forever remembered by her sons Carmon and Derek (Monika); grandsons Gregory and Victor; sister Betty Anne (John); niece Julie Anne; and many friends. She was predeceased by her father Walter; her mother Alice; and her nephew Johnny.

Throughout Shirley's life, she showed her diligence, whether caring for family, volunteering, or working with the public (Army and Navy, Woolco, Canadian Tire, Franks Café, The Viking, Cheese Toast, Master Steaks, Robins Doughnuts, and H&R Block).

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Pasqua Hospital - Internal Medicine (3D), Oncology (3B), Palliative Care (3A) - and the Allan Blair Cancer Centre for their compassionate care.

A private gathering to honour Shirley's memory and celebrate her life will be announced to friends and family, at a later date.
