Obituary of Irene Gertrude Putz

PUTZ, Irene

January 4, 1929 – January 3, 2019

Irene passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 3, 2019. She was predeceased by her parents, Adam and Frances Sauer; husband Phil; sisters, Ruth and Mildred; daughter-in-law Nancy; and son-in-law Walter. Irene is loved and remembered by her children, Jim, Elaine, Jerry (Terri), Ken (Darlene), Karen, and Kathy; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother Bill (Donna) Sauer; sister Verna Harlos; and numerous nieces and nephews. We will remember our mom for her many great qualities, her quiet strength and gentle sense of humour, her generosity, kindness and loyalty to family. She was fiercely independent and used her senior bus pass faithfully up until her last week. Thanks for your good example mom, you taught us well. A Memorial Service will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. with lunch to follow.
