Obituary of Kenneth James LeBlanc
Kenneth James LeBlanc (Jim) died peacefully the morning of March 17, 2019. Jim was born March 24, 1938 in Estevan, Saskatchewan to Medis and Aurora LeBlanc and spent his childhood years there. During his time in Estevan, Jim had great fun doing chuckwagon racing. In 1958 he married Donna Mutter. They had three children, Lonnie, Lennie, and Lorrie. Jim worked hard on the oil rigs to support his growing family. The family moved to Regina in 1976. Owning Jim’s Construction allowed him to use his skills as a carpenter and builder. Gardening was something he loved and he enjoyed working at Lincoln Gardens just outside of Lumsden, which he later bought in 1982.
Jim was a collector of all things, seeing beauty in almost everything. His greatest passion was art. He is remembered for constantly drawing on everything. What someone would consider junk and probably throw away, he saw as a new object to paint and create something beautiful. Landscape scenery held a special spot in his heart. Jim will always be remembered for his witty sense of humor.
He was predeceased by his parents and brother Edward. Jim is survived by his children, Lonnie (Maria), Lennie (Laura), and Lorrie (Gale); sister Alice; grandchildren Crystal (Merv), Chantelle (Justin), Chance, Sheldon (Heather), Sandra (Kris) and Jolene; as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully requests, that those so wishing, may make memorial donations in Jim’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK, S4P 2R3.
