Obituary of Friedrich Wilhelm Heumann

Friedrich Fred? passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the age of 91 years. He was born to Heinrich and Anna (nee Schreder) in Lippe Detmold, Germany on June 7, 1921 and immigrated to Canada with his wife and eldest son in 1952. Predeceased by his loving wife of 51 years, Helen (nee Stoffel) in 1997; great-grandson Chase Heumann (2010); his parents; sister and brother-in-law; and a great-nephew in Germany; parents-in-law brothers and sisters-in-law; and two nieces, all of Canada. Fred is survived by his son Hans (Bonnie) and their family David, James, Michael (Lisa) and great-grandsons Jacob and Hunter; son Robert (Christine) and their family Kevin, Trevor (Michelle); daughter Ingrid; numerous nieces, nephews and their families; as well as his brother Heinrich (Trande); three nieces and their families in Germany. Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1909 Ottawa Street, Regina, SK on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Lindsay Hognestad officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in memoriam, may be made to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan, 1231 8th Street East, Saskatoon, SK, S7H 0S5 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2H8. The family would like to thank the nurses and care aides of the Regina Lutheran Home for tending to Freds needs the last 20 months. Especially theirs and Pastor Lindsays compassionate care in his final days. Also, thank you to Speers Funeral Chapel for all of their help and guidance with the arrangements.
