Obituary of Jean Palmquist

JEAN PALMQUIST Jean, late of Regina, SK passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, January 5, 2013. She was predeceased by her parents and three brothers. Jean is survived by sisters-in-law Helen Palmquist and Iris Palmquist; nieces Deborah Palmquist (David) and Rebecca McLellan (Morgan); four great-nieces, Claire, Alaya, Linnea and Samara; as well as several other nieces and nephews across Canada. Jean received her B.A. from the University of Saskatchewan in 1947, and also graduated with a high school teaching certificate from the same university in 1949. She was a loving and generous sister, sister-in-law, aunt and great-aunt. Jean was in love with India and her Indian friends, having spent 35 years there as a missionary with the Canadian Baptist Mission and with the Union of Evangelical Students of India (UESI). Her deep faith in God gave her joy and purpose throughout her life. Funeral Service will be held at Argyle Road Baptist Church, 3510 Argyle Road, Regina on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Flowers most gratefully declined.
