Obituary of Lois Lea Groeb
GROEB, Lois Lea
(née Wilson)
Lois was born in Regina, SK on July 12, 1929 and passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and love just three months shy of her 90th Birthday on Friday, April 12, 2019. We know she was warmly welcomed by her late husband, Ozzie; her loving parents, William and Juanita Wilson; siblings, Ted, June and Bill; as well as many other close family members and friends. Left with cherished memories, her daughter and son-in-law, Oralea and Brian Behnke; granddaughters, Nicole (Ray) Shepherd; Brittany (Tyler) Bacon; and great-grandchildren, Cali and Lincoln Shepherd, and Parker and Wyatt Bacon. Also survived by her sisters-in-law, Ella Lindenbach and Wilma Hubick; and many nieces and nephews. Lois was born and raised in Regina, where she met and married Ozzie in 1956. They stayed in the area spending many years on their acreage, where they enjoyed raising many different animals and watching the wildlife that often visited. Lois enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time at their property in B.C. Most important to her was her family, who she loved to spend time with creating lasting memories, full of so much laughter and love. Thank You to all the staff at William Albert House, in Emerald Park, SK. for making her time there so enjoyable and being so genuine and caring. At Lois' request, a private family memorial will be held. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the Regina Humane Society, P.O. Box 3143 Stn Main, Regina, SK S4P 3G7 Or any wildlife foundation or centre of your choice.
