Obituary of Brady Allan Maczek

Brady Allan Maczek was born January 15, 1990 in Regina, SK. He attended Winston Knoll and graduated in 2008. He then went on to further his studies and received a diploma in Computer Engineering Technology in 2011 from SIAST in Moose Jaw. Brady started working with the RCMP Informatics Unit following graduation. He was promoted to manager of Network Switching Centre last year. He was very proud to be a part of this team and was employed there until his passing. Brady met the love of his life, Coral, in 2008 and they were married June 9, 2018. He was diagnosed a few days later and fought with positivity and strength. On June 13, 2019, after a year long courageous battle with cancer, Brady passed away peacefully at the age of 29 with family and friends at his side. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife and soulmate Coral and their very special family dog Peter; mother Carla Maczek; grandparents Larry and Charlotte Maczek; aunt and uncle Rhonda (Tim) Schindel; cousins Whitney (Adrian) Chankasingh, Breanna (Jeremy) Klaassens, Hunter Schindel; mother and father-in-law Michelle and Frank Borkus; and numerous extended family in Canada and New Zealand; and many dear friends. Brady was a lover, not a fighter. He was passionate about the Saskatchewan Roughriders, WWE, Dead Pool, and Warhammer. A big thanks to Brady’s team of professionals: Dr. Dolata, Dr. Musa, Dr. Dalkilic, the amazing nurses of 3B, and the amazing palliative care team. A Celebration of Life will take place at the RCMP Depot Chapel on June 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to unit 3B Oncology at the Pasqua Hospital.
