Obituary of Arnold Frank Aschenbrenner
Arnold was born in Humboldt, SK on October 27, 1932. He was the second eldest of five children born to Albert and Philomena Aschenbrenner. Arnold is survived by his wife Celestine, his children Randy and Ron (Wendy); grandchildren April (Justin) Delorme, Dallas (Marissa) Aschenbrenner, Kristin (Wayne) Teetaert, Sarah (Lee) Rempel; great-grandchildren Kayden, Shayni, Olivia, Paisyn, Lexie, Finn and Alice; Sister Armella (Kenneth) Kemper; and many extended family and friends. The joys of Arnold’s life were his family and his beloved puppy Coco.
Arnold grew up 2km west of Fulda, SK on the family farm. This is where he raised his family and spent countless hours either in the field or tinkering in the shop. In 1990 he moved into the town of Fulda, and his son Randy took over the family farm. Arnold resided in Fulda until the summer of 2018 when he and Celestine moved to Regina, to be closer to the grandkids and enjoy the comfort of city living.
Arnolds’ hobbies in life were both hunting and fishing. Every summer in between the hustle and bustle of seeding and harvest, he always managed to sneak away up north to his favourite fishing spots at Delaronde and Top Lakes, and every fall he looked forward to white tail or mule deer hunting.
We would like to thank the staff at Regina General Hospital for their compassionate care during the last days of Arnold’s life, particularly the extremely competent and caring nurses. And special thanks to the staff at Speers Funeral Chapel for their extraordinary service, and going the extra mile in this difficult time.
