Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Fullerton

MARY ELIZABETH FULLERTON 19202013 Mary was born to James and Elizabeth Fullerton of Ballyness Farm, Bushmills, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, and came with the family to Canada when she was nine years old. During the Depression years, she taught school in Saskatchewan and earned university degrees by correspondence. Later, she was able to attend Columbia University in New York to obtain her degree in Library Science. She travelled widely and enjoyed everything. In later years she took early retirement to be with our mother. She was always a loving and helpful daughter and sister. She is survived by her two sisters, Margaret Peel of Edmonton and Dr. Kathleen Fullerton of Toronto; her two brothers, Edward of Toronto and James (Louisa) of Ottawa; as well as eight nieces and nephews and their children. Edward's wife Kay and Margaret's husband Bruce predeceased Mary, our first losses. Mary's great passions were politics and doing what she could for those in need. A Private Family Service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salvation Army, Division Headquarters, 2240 13th Avenue, Regina, SK, S4P 3M7.
