Obituary of Bev Powell
It is with the heaviest of hearts and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Beverley Anne Powell. Bev was born in Regina on April 3, 1944 to Leslie and Mira Clarke. She grew up in Rouleau, Saskatchewan surrounded by much family. She will join her parents Leslie and Mira Clarke in heaven. Predeceased by sister-in-law Linda Clarke, she leaves to mourn her passing, her beloved husband and high school sweetheart of 60 years, Stanley Powell; her daughters, Cheryl Powell (Terry), Lisa Eberle, Deanna Aikens (Geoff), and Richelle Schuetz (Steven); her beloved grandchildren, Whitney (Matthew), Ashley (Jaime), Jordan (Lauren), Dustin (Megan), Breanna, Delaney, Colton, Alexa, Bryson, Megan, Matthew, Chloe, and Sophia; her precious great-grandchildren, Hayden and Harrison; her siblings, Myrna (Bert) Schoenau, Phyllis (Bill) Copeland, Robert Clarke, Raymond (Kim) Clarke, Carol (Gary) Saundh; as well as many nieces and nephews. Bev was known as a kind, generous, vibrant, woman who gave 150% in everything she did. She was passionate about everything in her life but especially cooking where she is known worldwide for the Clarke family cookbook. She loved to cook and passed that onto her children and grandchildren who she loved to bake and cook with. Early on in her life she had a very successful career in real estate that was very instrumental in her and Stan’s business success. This has allowed them to be retired for 15 years and travel the world together which she loved. Bev’s creativity and her tremendous artistic talents were present in all her girl’s weddings, grandchildren’s births, grads, and so much more. Her family was her life and they were always put first as was everyone who’s life she touched. In her last few years she had a dream to build a place where her family could come together and spend time doing the things she loved, and her dream came true; with what will now be known in her memory as, Bev’s lodge. Funeral Service will be held at the Rouleau Town Hall, Rouleau, SK, on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Yvonne Terry officiating. Lunch and refreshments to follow in the hall. Private interment will follow in Regina Memorial Gardens, 4001 Victoria Avenue East Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, those wishing, may make memorial donations in Bev’s name to the Saskatchewan Heart and Stroke Foundation, 279 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2H8 or Hockey and Hearts, Box 273, Rouleau, SK, S0G 3L0.
