Obituary of Ludwig Ehrmantraut

Ludwig passed away on Thursday March 28, 2013 in Regina. Lud was born January 16, 1933 in Lake Elma, Saskatchewan. He and seven siblings were raised on the farm by their parents Raphael and Katharina . He moved from the farm to Regina where he attended Campion College, received his diploma and married Shirley Anne Allison. During that same time he started his career with Sasktel holding numerous positions retiring after 35 years service. Lud loved to curl and was part of the Sasktel curling team. He enjoyed playing cards and watching baseball. Lud and Shirley purchased a cottage in 1974 at Katepwa Beach. They spent many wonderful summers enjoying their cottage with family and friends. Through the 90's Lud and Shirley enjoyed going south to Texas during the winter months. Lud was predeceased by his wife Shirley. He is survived by his children Gary (Sandra) Ehrmantraut, Cathy (Ray) Klein, Don (Joanne) Ehrmantraut, Ron (Cathy) Ehrmantraut, Cheryl (Brian) Claude; grandchildren Garrett, Natasha, Tamika, Kyle, Trevor, Nolan, Derrick, Andrea, Pamela, Jacquelyn, Lee, Audrey, Robyn, Samantha, and Travis; sister Bella Winter and brother Bll (Jean) Ehrmantraut. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 100 Argyle Street, Regina on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. John-Baptist Okai presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to a charity of their choice.
