Obituary of Glenn Wilcocks

Glenn passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2013, at the age of 70, in Regina, Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his parents Artie and Florence Wilcocks; his sister Evelyn Wilcocks; and brother-in-law Jim Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Dorothy; son Jeff (Donna) Wilcocks and their children Kayla and Koty of Regina; son Dean Wilcocks and his children Mitchell, Matthew, Candice and Jacob of Regina; daughter Tammy (Elmer) Litzenberger and their children Landon and Lucas of Melville. Glenn is also survived by his sisters Marian Johnson of Camrose, AB, and Arlene (Wally) Bridges of Indian Head; as well as brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends. Glenn was born and raised in Wolseley. At the age of 18, he was injured while working on a grain elevator in Bethune. Glenn had various jobs which then led him to Swift Current where he met Dorothy. They were married in 1964 and moved back to Wolseley to take over the family farm. His interests and activities included playing and coaching hockey, Lions Club, volunteer firefighter, plus owning and operating Waxys Wheels Arcade.? In 1987 they moved into the Melville area where he became the Melville Millionaires Junior A? hockey trainer. He was also a grader operator for several years in the R.M. of Stanley. In 2002 they moved to Katepwa Beach to manage the family 9 hole golf course and R.V. park. Due to Glenns failing health they moved to the Regina area in 2010. Glenn loved to socialize and would brighten up any room. His happy, caring, joking personality will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Glenns life will be held at a later date.
