Obituary of Marvin Raymond Omoth

Marvin, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at the age of 89 years with his family by his side. He was born at Dummer, SK on July, 15, 1930. Predeceased by parents Grace and Ted Omoth, grandson Oakland Kale Omoth, and in-laws Molly and Martin Tondevold. Marvin is survived by his loving wife Gloria; son Garnet (Brenda) and their children, Jennifer (Dan), Brandon (Amber), Pamela, and Marvin (Terri); daughters Donna (Ted) Keller, and their children, Deon (Jenelle) and Angie (Reed); Laura Omoth, her children, Sarah (Emma), Kayne (Meagan), Jake (Beth) and Luke (Britney); Susan Omoth, and her children, Tava and Sam; Joni Omoth; thirteen great- grandchildren; siblings  Bernice McKay, Doris Nelson and Arnold Omoth; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and special family friend, Lynne Ingram. He had a great love for his family and friends. Wherever he went, he knew someone or soon made friends. Marvin was a great storyteller and could entertain a crowd for hours. He would never forget a face, a place, a time or a tune. P-ting P-tang! Marvin was a farmer who raised crops, chickens, cattle, pigs and kids. In 1963 he earned his pilot’s licence and crop sprayed in the Milestone area for many years. He loved to fly high and swoop low.  Graveside Service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina, SK on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Please gather at the gate. Celebration of Life to follow at Victoria Club, 1300 Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK. Donations may be made in memory of Marvin to Chip and Dale Homes Inc., 974 Albert Street, Regina, SK S4R 2R7.
