Obituary of Vernon Jay Cook

July 1, 1915 April 21, 2013 Vern (Vernon) passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013 with his daughters by his side. He was predeceased by Gerry, his wife of 72 years, in 2011. He is survived by his children: Gerald (Joy) Cook, Marilyn (Boyd) Johnson, Wendell (Marlene) Cook, and Sharon (Mel) Moryski; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren; as well as his brother, Lowell Cook. Vern was a kind and loving father who will be greatly missed. He was a family man who spent time and energy helping his parents, his brothers and sisters, and his children in the good times and the bad. He was always there to share the joys and sorrows of those he loved. For 61 years he was a faithful servant of Jehovah. His family looks forward to the fulfillment of Jehovahs promise at John 5:28, 29, Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.? Memorial Service will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 2020 Van Egmond Place, Regina, SK on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Earl Grey Municipal Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donation in memoriam, may be made to the Worldwide Work of the Jehovahs Witnesses, 2020 Van Egmond Place, Regina, SK, S4N 7L6.
