Obituary of Kathryn Ruth Hunter

HUNTER, Kathryn

Kathryn Hunter passed away peacefully August 21, 2019 at Wascana Grace Hospice, Regina SK. Kathy was born July 1, 1951 at Prince Albert, SK and grew up in Saskatoon, SK. Her life lead her to move to various places. She settled in Yorkton, SK at one point, for 20 years. Kathy then moved back to Regina in 2018, due to being diagnosed with cancer in March of last year. Kathy spent most of her time as a housewife. She lived her life to the fullest, enjoying time with her family, friends, music, books, and writing. Kathy is survived by her sister Peggy (Nick) of Regina, brother Bob (Debbie) of Richmond BC, stepsister Laurie, stepbrother Garnet (Colleen), and stepsister Jody (Donny), all of Yorkton; as well as a few cousins, nephews, and nieces. Kathy was predeceased by her mother Joan Atkinson (2009), father Jim Atkinson (2003), and husband Barney Hunter (1995). Memorial Service will be held at St. James United Church, 4506 Sherwood Drive, Regina SK, on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Private interment will be held at a later date.
