Obituary of Ray Forsyth

Ray passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the Cupar Nursing Home following a three year battle with Parkinson’s disease and dementia. Left to cherish Ray’s memory is his wife of 61 years, Wanda; daughter Tara; grandson Sam and Sam’s dad, Paul. He is also survived by his sisters, Pat Light and Linda (Randy Hanna); brother Bob (Linda); and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. He is predeceased by his son Martin; daughter-in-law Hélène; sister Betty; and brothers-in-law, Jay Zyla and Jack Light. Ray was employed with SaskTel for 37 years and enjoyed curling, golf, fishing, remodeling, and traveling. Many enjoyable years were spent at the cottage with winters in Victoria, B.C. Ray enjoyed watching his grandson play soccer and coached all T.V. sports from his living room chair. Cremation has taken place and at Ray’s request, there will be no funeral service. We invite all friends to join us for a Celebration of Life at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. A special thank you to the staff for the exceptional care and attention Ray received while a resident at the Cupar and District Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers, those so wishing, may make a memorial donation in Ray’s name to the Cupar and District Nursing Home, Box 310, Cupar, SK S0G 0Y0.
