Obituary of Barbara May Velestuk

VELESTUK, Barbara May - May 31, 1929 to July 3, 2008 With great sadness the Velestuk Family announces the passing of Barbara May Velestuk, age 79, on July 3, 2008. Barbara is survived by her loving husband Bill (Yodie) of 60 years. Daughter Patti Rawluk and grandson Kerry, Sons, Don (Joyce), grandsons Greg and Richard of Chase, BC, Ed (Darlene), grandchildren Tiana of Calgary, AB, and Brandon of Victoria, BC, Ray (Joan) and grandchildren Shea and Logan of Mission, BC, Ron (Lisa) and grandsons Kyle and Garry of Winnipeg, MB. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Family was everything to her throughout her entire life. So dedicated to her Family that Barbara and Bill left their home and friends in Moose Jaw, Sask., and relocated to Regina to help out her Daughter and Grandson through a very difficult time in their life. Barbara was an avid golfer, winning the Hillcrest Club Championship many times while in Moose Jaw. Her excellence in golfing took her to the BMW Golf Tournament in Montebello, Quebec. She was also very proud to be awarded with her Life Masters status with the American Contract Bridge League. She was a lover of all crafts and mastered all she attempted over the years through her persistence and patience. Mum is now in a better place, free of pain and with other family members that took the journey before her. Mum, we love you and will miss you forever. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations to the Kinsman Telemiracle Foundation in memoriam of Barbara would be appreciated. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Speers Funeral and Cremation Services. No service by request. An on-line book of condolence may be signed at www.speersfuneralchapel.com
