WERBOWETSKY " It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Edith Jean? Werbowetsky, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, on Saturday, July 5, 2008. Jean was born to Samuel and Winnifred Jamieson in Shaunavon, SK. on December 5, 1924. Upon reaching her 18th year, she left the family farm to serve in World War ll. A position at the Provincial Legislature followed until her marriage to Harry Peter Werbowetsky in 1947. They had one son, Bruce, and made their home in Regina, SK. Following a short time as a stay-at-home mom, Jean began her career at SaskPower which continued until her retirement in 1982. Jean was predeceased by her husband Harry in 1992, brother Alexander in 1983, and sister Muriel in 1978. She is survived by her son Bruce (Caterina) of Swift Current, SK., beloved grandchildren David Jeffrey and Allison Jane both of Pickering, ON, sisters Constance (Earl) Pollock and Margaret (Clayton) Hall, special niece and wonderful friend Eleanor Szekely, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. Jean was a remarkably kind, loving, devoted and giving person who possessed great dignity while finding satisfaction in lifes humble pleasures. Among her interests and activities were cheering for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Toronto Blue Jays and any Canadian-based hockey team. She very much enjoyed socializing with family and friends, whatever the occasion. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Speers Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave., Regina, Sask. Interment to follow in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers most gratefully declined, however, donations may be made in Jeans memory to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, 225 " 1874 Scarth Street, Regina, SK S4P 4B3.
