Jody passed away suddenly on Monday, November 11, 2019 and will be sadly missed by partner Prairie-Rose McKay and her daughter Kiana Grace; Autumn, the mother of his son Braxton and his daughter Dorothy; Hailey George the mother of sons Kashius, Trevez, James and Jody the 3rd; father Jody Sr.; sisters Julia, Stacy, and Josephine; brothers Lance and Ryan; aunties Tracey Davidson, Janet White Bear, Vanda Akachuk, Mina Razor, and Brenda Akachuk; uncles, Lance Lonethunder and Jerry Lonethunder; as well as numerous cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by his mother Wanda Akachuk; brother Brendan; grandparents Danny and Bernice Buffalo Calf and Sharon Big Eagle-Hamilton and Ralph Lonethunder; aunties Lydia and Melody; and great-grandparents Lloyd and Hilda Big Eagle and Louie and Cecilia Lonethunder. Wake will be held at Ocean Man Band Hall on Monday, November 18, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. Traditional and Christian Funeral Service will be held at Ocean Man First Nation on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial at Ocean Man Cemetery.
