Obituary of Stephen Owen Reves

REVES - Stephen Owen Reves was born to Ruth Reves (nee: Owen) and Duaine Reves at Yorkton, Saskatchewan on December 22, 1970. He lived in numerous places growing up (Saskatchewan, Manitoba and British Columbia). Stephen was a very active, outgoing person who readily made friends. He always looked beyond stereotype, race, or the material circumstances of people, but recognized their good qualities. He was especially gifted in helping people develop their true potential and was extremely very giving. Special amongst his friends were Chris Bjarnson, Mark Bender, Gordon Chubak, Malin Patel, Ian Johnson, William Greuel, Andrew Schulte and Shaun Welter. He met the love of his life, Marlene Huber, of Wilkie, SK and they were married in Saskatoon on December 4, 1999. He loved nature and the outdoors and went on numerous hiking and camping trips in the mountains accompanied by his wife, Marlene and many friends. He also loved music, played guitar and was interested in sound systems. Stephen was a Technical Analyst, who worked for a number of employers, including the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Department of Education and presently Casino of Regina. Stephen is survived by his wife Marlene and unborn child, mother Ruth Reves, father Duaine and Margaret Reves, and mother-in-law Dorothy Huber. He is also survived by brother Michael Reves and his sisters and bothers-in-law David, Yvonne, Veronica (Kevin; Kristopher and Lucas), Louise (sons: Alexander and Tiernan), Barbara (Chris) Dykes and Peter Huber. Stephen was predeceased by his grandparents, Annabelle and Charles Owen, Mary and Steve Reves and father-in-law, Alexander Huber. Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK. Flowers most gratefully declined.
