Obituary of Allan Eric William Nelson

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Allan, late of Regina, SK, on Friday, February 14, 2020.  He was predeceased by his son Raymond; his daughter-in-law Sharon; his mother and father Sally and Eric Nelson; his brother-in-law Clifford Miller; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law Ethel and Ern Crosson.  Allan is survived by his wife of 65 years Margaret; his daughter Judy (Ron) Gebert; his son David (Denise); his daughter-in-law Laurie Njaa; his sister-in-law Pauline Miller; four grandchildren, Sarah (Matt) Richard, Alesha (Christian) Stables, Mitch Gebert, Tracey Nelson; great-grandson Cayden Richard; as well as several nieces and nephews.  Allan was a Cub and Scout leader for many years and worked as a firefighter with the City of Regina for 33 years until he retired as a Captain in 1990.  In his free time Allan loved to work with his carpentry skills. A Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Diane Robinson, presiding. Reception to follow.  Interment will take place in Riverside Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Regina Firefighters Burn Fund, P.O. Box 1422 Stn. Main, Regina, SK S4P 3C2, the Heart and Stroke foundation, 1738 Quebec Avenue, Unit 26, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9 or the Lung Association, 1231 8th Street E, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5.
