It comes with great sadness to announce the passing of John Alan Findlay on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at the age of 88 years. John was born in Lemberg, SK Feb. 1, 1932, youngest son of Dr. Charles A. Findlay and Edna M. Nicholson. He was predeceased by his loving wife Ruth (nee Cordwell) John is survived by one son Blair and one daughter Terry McPherson, plus six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. John attended school in Saskatoon and Calgary and received a degree in business from the University of B.C. Following graduation he started his career in Hamilton, ON, later taking a position with the government in Ottawa. John accepted a similar job in Regina making this his home. He was able to achieve his dream of self-employment. John thoroughly enjoyed being his own boss and working by his own rules. In his early years enjoyed playing basketball, and later golf, photography and gardening. Although for John there was nothing better than a good book and listening to jazz. The family would like to thank doctors, nurses and staff at Wascana Grace Hospice for the excellent care they gave John and the kindness they showed the family. Due to the current circumstances a private family service will be held.
