First met George in 1963 when parading with 10th Fd. He was a great mentor and was a pleasure to work with until he retired. We continued to meet after in various areas and was a great person to interact with. He will be missed in many areas.

I was saddened to hear of Georges' passing. I remember visiting with him at Funeral Service Meetings. He definitely was a kind, gentle soul.

To Tom and all of George's family I send my deep and sincere condolences on his passing.
I will always remember George with fondness. He and I shard a special bond (which was a hug each and every time we met). I enjoyed his company and will miss him.
George spent a lot of time at the Legion working on several things- Museum, poppy day for cadets and remembrance services and generally helping out wherever he was needed.

I first met George when joining 10 Fd Regt in 1963. He was a good mentor and was one of the WW2 and post war NCO's that made 10 Fd a memorable place to serve with. Many great memories with George as BSM and RSM, and with him in District Headquarters. He and I were detailed to work in the Provincial Warning Centre during the nuclear crisis. He has left a wonderful legacy with his work in the Legion Museum. Am sure he will be forever missed by all that knew him.

Randy, Cindy, Debbie and families, it was sad to hear about your dad's passing. The short encounters at Grey Street or the Minor's cottage were always fun. He was a great man. Bets wishes.

Randy, Cindy, and Debbie
Growing up, the Durbin household was a bit like a second home for me and both George and Laverne were as nice to me as their own children. George and Laverne always have been and always will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Our condolences on George's passing.

George and I were seat mates for several years at Pats games. I will always remember Georges friendly smile and love of family and the Pats. He was so caught up in the game that he would lean into me with every check and elbow me when the Pats scored a big goal. My deepest condolences to the family. Rest in peace old friend!

FAMILY like branches on a tree, we all grow in different directions, yet our roots remain as one.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
My sincere condolences to Randy, Cindy, & Debbie at this time of loss.
One of my fondest memories as a child was pulling up to 620 Grey Street on Christmas day, and looking forward to getting my new pair of pajamas that auntie and uncle would get me every year.
May you rest in peace Uncle George. You will truly be missed.
XO Deanna
