Lieve Marga en familie,
Met enorme pijn in m’n hart heb ik gekeken naar de afscheidsdienst van jullie geliefde zoon gisteren. Ik kende hem helaas niet persoonlijk, maar jou wel van de middelbare school (Kaptyn) waar we samen gingen. Ben blij te zien dat jullie als gezin weten en geloven dat je zoon nu bij God is, hoe onbegrijpelijk dat voor ons mensen ook is. Mooie en ontroerende woorden van je dochter Carmen en je man. Intens verdrietig zijn we met het verlies van onze lieve neef Edwin, jullie prachtige zoon en broer, die zoveel mensen geraakt heeft als persoon. Hartverscheurend is het om nu niet bij jullie te kunnen zijn..
We zullen Edwin missen, maar vergeten nooit. We zullen hem voor altijd in ons hart en gedachten dragen.

It feels like yesterday that Edwin was hoping in with us headed to soccer practice. He was so talented, always bringing up morale with his smile even after a loss. He will be truly missed.

I remember the time your family came to visit us at our cabin at Crooked Lake. Edwin enjoyed the boating and especially the sea doo. It was a windy day but we made the best of it. We are so sorry for your loss. You are in our hearts, minds and prayers.

Henk, Marga, & Carmen - I am so sorry about the Loss of Edwin. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Edwin was a genuine, kind and caring person. I got to know him while he was close through my niece Kylie. He attended our family functions and was always so amazing with my two kids (Kylie's little cousins). We will truly miss him. I have wonderful memories of Edwin that I will keep close to my heart. Edwin will sorely missed by his classmates and instructors here in Nelson. I was fortunate to teach him video this past year. What a bright and humble star. He went above and beyond on everything he worked on, taught himself well beyond what we did in the classroom and supported his classmates in every single way you would hope students do.
