Obituary of Shawna Marie Melvin

SHAWNA MELVIN Shawna quietly passed away at the Pasqua Hospital on Tuesday, December 7, 2009 at the age of 35. Shawna fondly remembered those who went before her back to the universe " her grandmother, grandfathers, mum-in-law, cousins, friends, and especially her brother, Matthew. She is lovingly remembered by husband Mac, and children Josh and Campbell; her parents Brian and Nancy, grandmother Lil, brother Andy, and sister Jamie (Chad); Marnie (Thom), Gillian (Greg), Sean, Tom and Jim; special nieces and nephews " Elizabeth, Maya, Jessica, Kenton, Riley and Braden, as well as Mattison, Kyle and Hailey; oldest and dearest friends Kelly (Kim), second parents Vi and Gord, and friends " Terri Anne, Rori, Maureen, Zac, Regan, Ian and John; the Group of Seven cousins " Tutty, Kenter, Chuck, Warthog, Blair and Faye; along with many other cousins, aunties, uncles, colleagues and friends. I greatly enjoyed working and volunteering in the various settings that allowed for me to work with kids of all ages, to explore psychology and work with specialists in many discipline areas. The challenges, learning, support and interactions were invaluable.? " The desire to reach for the stars is ambitious. The desire to reach hearts is wise ~ Maya Angelou. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Friday, December 11, 2009 from 6 - 8:00 pm. A Celebration of Shawnas Life will be held at Bread of Life Lutheran Church, 3018 Doan Drive, Regina on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Carla Blakley officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
