Obituary of Sue Mai Yee

SUE MAI YEE (nee WONG) Sue Mai Yee, late of Regina, passed away gracefully on Thursday, February 28, 2013 in her 82nd year. She was predeceased by her parents, Wong Foong Jit and Mah Yuet Ming and two brothers, Wong Chun Gah and Wong Chun Chung. Mai is survived by her husband, Tong Chew Yee, married October 20, 1947. She will also be deeply missed by her children; Terry (William), Annie (Rowan), Fannie (Bill), Nannie (Joe) and Kyle (Michiyo); her grandchildren Paul, Peter, Patrick, Bill C., Christina, Lukas, Joshua, James, Bill M. and Kyle Jr.; her brother, Wong Chun Chai and sister, Wong Cheun Kum. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Mai immigrated from Hoiping, China in 1957 to join her husband in hopes of creating a new life in Canada. They settled In Fort QuAppelle, later moving to Regina. A private family service was held Tuesday, March 5, 2013 followed by an interment at Riverside Memorial Park. The family wishes to express our gratitude to the staff at Parkside Extendicare for making her final moments peaceful.
