Obituary of Barbara Tilly Dielschneider

It is with great sadness that we announce Barbaras passing on April 4, 2010 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by her husband Eugene Edward Dielschneider in 1978; daughter-in-law Phyllis Dielschneider; parents Gregory and Rose Kuntz; brothers Mike and Frank Kuntz; sisters Theresa Eisenzimmer-Carrette, Betty Zacher and Kay Kuntz; in-laws Andrew and Rose Dielschneider and Marion Delsnyder. Barbara is survived by her son Eugene Henry Dielschneider (Gloria), grandchildren Eugene Gordon (Michelle Christmas) Dielschneider and Steven (Sandi Seymour) Dielschneider, Christine Dielschneider, and great-grandchildren Salone Christmas, Jakob Dielschneider and Phillip Dielschneider; daughter Karen (Charles) Ell, and grandchildren Deanna Ell (Kyle) Jeworski and Courteney Ell; and special foster son Paul (Lillian) Wintonyk and family. She is also survived by her brothers Kenneth Gregory (Geraldine) Kuntz and John Kuntz (Merle-deceased); sister Anne (Don) Birnie, in-laws Katherine Morris (Jack-deceased), Theresa (Jack) McLellan, Rose Delsnyder (Joseph-deceased), Frances Weir (Bud-Charles-deceased), Peter (Annette) Delsnyder, Leo (Sue) Delsnyder, Ralph (Alice) Delsnyder, Adam (Anne) Dielschneider and Daphne Kuntz (Frank-deceased); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and other extended family members who were a special part of her life during the years. Barbara spent most of her working life in the Food and Beverage Industry at Kresges Department Store, Sherwood Co-op Department Store and Hotel Saskatchewan. In the mid-years of her life, she loved to travel and enjoyed those times with her husband Gene, then later with Kathy Morris, her daughter Karen and family, and her sister Kay. Her brother Ken and his family were always involved with her social times. In the later years, Davis Mews, was her residence and the people with whom she enjoyed much of her daily life and who, were very supportive of her; for this we are ever so grateful for their friendship. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 in St. Cecilias Roman Catholic Church, 5020 7th Avenue, Regina. Interment in Regina Memorial Gardens. To all who shared in the life of this hard working, fiery and feisty lady through the years of work, in the bowling industry, in later life the medical people at the Diabetic Centre, Kidney Clinic, Stapleford Clinic, Dr. Warden, the Pasqua Hospital-Emergency Ward, the wonderful caring staff on 4th Floor, Ward D and the ever constant care of the Home Care Nursing Staff, the family cannot thank you enough for all that was done to make her life as full as it was.
