May 4, 1937 – June 2, 2020
Robert went to the Father at the age of 83 years. Bob leaves to mourn his beloved wife Julie; sister Betty (Jim); and brother James. He is also survived by his sons William (Sasha), Brent (Leanne), Barry, Dean and Sean (Fred); daughters Brigette (Larry deceased) and Shelly (Darrell deceased). Bob is also survived by step-son Glen (Laura), and step daughters Brenda (Clayton) and Kim (Rollie). Bob was a grandfather to BJ, Robert, Samantha, Emma, Matthew, Erynne, Shane, Melissa, Maycee, Kayla, Nikki, Kyle, Joseph, Michael, Jeremy, Christina and Tyler. He was blessed with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews and all of whom he loved and was so proud. Bob was predeceased by Rosalie Vargo and Shirley Vargo; his grandparents (Hungary); father James; mother Eva; sisters Mary, Val, and Elsie; brothers Bernard, William, and Tony; and stepson Wesley. Bob was a dedicated Regina Firefighter enjoying a 30 year career, retiring as Captain. Upon retirement, Bob and Julie travelled extensively, and wintered in Las Vegas. Bob was an avid hunter, fisher, boxer, and was an award winning jive dancer. On Bob’s 80th birthday he received the key to the City of Regina. Graveside Service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina, SK on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. All vehicles may gather just inside the cemetery gates prior to 1:55 p.m. and join the procession to the gravesite at 2:00 p.m. Due to gathering size restrictions all guests are asked to remain in their vehicles until instructed otherwise.
