Obituary of Sarah Helen St. Josiah

Sarah St. Josiah (Helen Hall) of Regina, Sk. passed away surrounded by her family Saturday May 22nd, 2010 at the age of 60 years. Predeceased by an infant brother Henry, she is survived by her mother Cecile Hall, her father Henry Hall and siblings: Edgar (Aileen) Hall, Regina Hall, Keefe Hall, Anna (Dwight) Murray, Viola (Gord) Glaze, June Hall, Shirley (Paul) Steele, Colleen Hall (Jamie Knapman), Maureen Hall (Darren Barteski), Emma Delaire. She was an Aunt and a Great Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Sarah received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a history major from the University of Regina. She taught children in isolated communities in northern Saskatchewan. Sarah enjoyed traveling, and found her passion in religious studies; she dedicated her life to the Lord. She demonstrated courage in her struggles with schizophrenia and her six-year fight with cancer. A funeral mass will be held today, Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Blessed Sacrament Church, 2049 Scarth Street, Regina, Sask., at 12:05 p.m. Interment will be held Wednesday, May 26, at 10:00 a.m. at Laurier Cemetery, Radville, Sask. Special thanks to the staff of 4A and the Palliative Care units of the Pasqua Hospital, and her special caregivers Robert and Ellie Ell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sarahs memory to Regina Palliative Care or the Schizophrenia Society of Saskatchewan.
