“Tony”
Tony passed away in his home on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at the age of 81 years. He was predeceased by his wife Gerlinde (1982); father Lorenz (who went missing in action in 1944); mother Ann (1995); baby sister Hannelore (1944); brother Lorenz (2018); and brother-in-law Georg (1984). Tony is loved and will be missed by his children Gunhilde Parsons, Ferdinand, Michael (Amber) and Maria (Sheldon Gibson); grandchildren John Parsons, Mariah Parsons, Zakk and William; sisters Hedwig, Maria (Paolo) Marcon, Rose (Dieter) Stargard and Cordula (Michael) Konrad; brothers Roland (Karen) Seifritz, Harold (Bright) Seifritz and Elrich (Renate) Seifritz; sister-in-law Gertrude; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and Germany. Tony came to Canada at 26 years of age along with wife and two children settling in Regina. He had a variety jobs at first but settled into the baking business. Tony opened his own bakery in 1979, College Avenue Bakery which he loved. When he retired at 60, his passion became gardening. He had an amazing talent at growing whatever he set his mind too. Tony was a Guru when it came to plants. “No brown spots on his green thumb”. In the late 90’s he moved to Cupar where he enjoyed the small town atmosphere. He worked hard to have a beautifully landscaped yard. Tony began growing a bounty of plants in his greenhouse which was shared with his children and grandchildren. He loved his family and his family loved him. A private family graveside will be held at a later date.
