Our heartfelt condolences to the Naqvi family. When my husband Wayne and I moved to Regina one of the people we met at the Unitarian Fellowship was Ishrat Naqvi. From him, we learned about the Baha'i faith which has so many commonalities with the Unitarians.
We always enjoyed Dr. Nacvi's talks and questions - so thoughtful and insightful. The Unitarian Fellowship was indeed blessed to have his participation in our Fellowship life. He would challenge us to think more widely that we might have done. One of the talks given by Ishrat was about the prerequisites to peace which need to be met, or fulfilled, before world peace can or will occur. One of the nine is for individuals and organizations to accept that we can have, and must have, unity in diversity.
We will miss him.

I audited Dr. Naqvi's class on epistemology in Fall 1997 as a new faculty member at Campion. I have fond memories of his lectures and the class discussions. I found him to be a kind and generous professor. My most sincere condolences to his family.

I'm so sorry to hear about Ishrat's death. Ishrat Naqvi served as my PhD co-supervisor, and I have pleasant memories of taking classes from him. I'll plant a tree in his memory.
Regards, Garth Huber

Ishrat was a friend to me, as I'm sure he was to many others. I love him very much.
Was happy to have been able to spend even a few minutes with him before he became unable to communicate. Loved seeing him smile when we spoke of quantum entanglement and its potential for being a proof of the human soul. Saw him in a dream about the time he became uncommunicative walking in deep conversation with 'Abdu'l-Baha. I suspect he had already gone ahead. I firmly believe all our memories are already there, backed up, like pearls awaiting the string to be restrung when we rejoin them.
I consider Ishrat a very dear and precious friend with whom I will meet again and discuss the wonders of the universe.
My love to all of his family.
