Nancy Joy Downs

August 16, 1963 - July 18, 2020

Nancy passed away peacefully in the Pasqua Palliative Care Unit on July 18, 2020. Nancy was born with mental and physical disabilities.  She was the second child for Herb and Vi Downs.  She is predeceased by her father Herbert. She is survived by her mother Vi Parker, stepdad Ed Parker, brother Allan Downs (Kathy), sister Linda Colasacco (Rick Kearney), and nieces and nephews Larissa, Alexander, Samantha, Greg and Lia.  At the time of her death, she was living in a private care home called Christian Horizons where they gave her loving care.  Nancy will be remembered for giving a slight smile when gently touched, her enjoyment of music and her love of her monkey. She loved her family (especially her Christian Horizons family) and will be dearly missed. A small private family service will be held in the future at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. At that time her ashes will be interred with her father Herbert Downs.
