Obituary of William Edwin Beaman

WILLIAM BILL? BEAMAN Bill Beaman passed away on August 7, 2010 at the age of 92. Predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Katherine Luella Beaman (1918-1999), Bill is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Irene Bevan; his brother, Charlie Beaman (Rose); sisters Jean Day and Vera Abercrombie; his daughters, Marion MacKay (David), Kate Forrester, son Robert Beaman (Elaine); grandchildren, Robert MacKay (Cami), Dr. Brie Hamblin; and great-grandchild, William MacKay. Bill was born and raised in the Unity-Adanac area of Saskatchewan where the family farmed and lived. During the war years, he taught agricultural engineering at the University in Saskatoon and worked on aircraft in Prince Albert. He went on to sell insurance with Mutual Life of Canada and retired to sell real estate for All-Sask Realty and insurance for Wawanesa in Saskatoon. He was a 25+ year member of Kiwanis and helped to build Grosvenor Park United Church in Saskatoon. Over many years he was a generous blood donor for RH negative babies and on call until age 65. Bill loved and was a self taught, talented photographer. For many years he took wonderful pictures for family, friends and neighbours that were greatly appreciated. In the 69 years he spent in Saskatoon, he helped many people and showed great generosity to all his friends and neighbours in Saskatchewan. He was a proud citizen of Saskatoon and greatly missed his home in later years. We will all miss him. Forever remembered and loved. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 13, 2010 in Speers Funeral Chapel - Centennial Room, 2136 College Avenue, Regina (Please use College Avenue entrance).
