ZERR, Frances Grace Theresa

“Elizabeth Marie Esmeralda Thursday” 

(nee Koster)

August 15, 1932 - July 20, 2020.

Frances and her late husband Joe raised a busy household of seven kids who later gave them twelve grandchildren which has spawned five great-grandchildren to date.  She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, family, a prodigious love of sweets and a cinnamon bun recipe that has been shared countless times but never executed quite the same. Frances had an amazing wit and sense of humour that is evident in all of her children. Until her final days, each of her children believed that they were her favourite; only one of them really is.

She was predeceased by her husband Joe; her daughter Karen; and her brothers Gene Koster and Irv Koster. Frances is survived by her brother Bob Koster (Joie); and her children, son Murray Zerr (Cheryl), daughter Diane Edwards (George), son David Zerr (Kathy), son Daryl Zerr (Mylene Piche), daughter Leanne Harris (Trevor) and daughter Janet Quevillon (Nelson). She also leaves behind a VCR that is still flashing 12 o’clock with Mary Poppins stuck in it.

Due to COVID-19, a private funeral mass will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.  Donations may be made in memory of Frances to the Canadian Blood Services, 2571 Broad Street, Regina SK S4P 4H6. The family of Frances (with an ‘e’) would like to thank all her friends and the staff at College Park.
