t is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Lois Grace Busko on Friday, July 28, 2023.  Mom passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 83 years.  Mom was predeceased by her devoted husband of 56 years, Peter in 2019.  Mom leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Cheryl (Doug) Lipp of Dilke, SK and their children Clayton and Leah (Josh) Morgan and Carla (Trevor) Crozier of Regina, SK and their children Tanner and Hallie.  Mom will lovingly be remembered by her siblings, Carol Domshy, Neil (Audrey) East and Lyle (Paulette) East; her brother-in-law Walter Busko; sister-in-law Mary (Alex) Sowtis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends.  Mom was born in Eastend, SK in 1940 and moved to Regina in 1959.  She started working at the Sask Wheat Pool where she met and fell in love with Dad.  Mom’s life centered around her two daughters and their families.  She was a leader in all levels of Girl Guides and was the main chauffeur for all our school and sporting activities.  Mom’s favourite place was in the kitchen where she loved cooking and baking for her family and friends, she especially loved it when a grandchild was there to lend a hand.  Mom was immensely proud of her family, but her grandchildren were the light of her life.  Mom loved attending all their activities and was their biggest cheerleader.  You would often find Mom and Dad at a baseball diamond, volleyball court, Christmas concert, dance recital, hockey rink, or golf course and they would be cheering on their grandchildren and all the other kids who had found their way into Mom’s heart.  Mom recently moved into Greenfalls Landing where she immediately made new friends with both the residents and the staff.  She enjoyed all the activities and outings that they offered and loved showing off her new suite.   Mom was generous with her time, devoting many hours to Girl Guides, Westminster United Church, and her community.  She was also generous with her heart and welcomed everyone into her home with her warm hugs that will be missed by so many.  The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of Unit 5F at the General Hospital for their compassionate care of mom in her final days.  A service to celebrate Mom’s life will take place at Westminster United Church, 3025 13th Ave. Regina, SK on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.  Family and Friends so wishing, may make donations, in memoriam, to Westerminster United Church c/o Building Fund or Anniversary Unit.
