Clarissa "Risa" Campbell

Obituary of Clarissa "Risa" Dawn Campbell

CLARISSA “RISA” DAWN CAMPBELL

July 1, 1993 – January 24, 2018

Suddenly and unexpectedly, God called our precious angel home. Risa leaves to mourn her parents, Jim and Marilyn Karst; her sisters, Brittany, Kara, Abby, and Suzie; numerous relatives; as well as anyone who KNEW her or worked with her. Risa was born with what appeared to be insurmountable disabilities but, managed to surpass them all. She taught anyone who knew her the meaning of determination, courage, and the sheer joy of living. Her laughter and giggles enchanted all who met her. You couldn’t be in a bad mood when Risa giggled!! Risa loved music, Walt Disney movies, bumpy car rides, and pratfalls (the noisier the better). Our thanks to ALL her teachers and caregivers throughout the years, with special thanks to Mrs. Toth at Greenall High School, Bev and staff at Cosmopolitan Learning Center, and Tom and Clayton, her bus drivers from Capital Cab, she loved her daily van rides.

A very special thanks to Lisa Wright for lending her beautiful voice and helping choose the music, and Marilyn Lolacher and Darren Galbraith for creating a video montage of Risa's life. A HUGE thanks to White City First Responders and Firefighters, EMS of Regina, Cst. Nathan Aird from White Butte RCMP, Sheryl Church from Victim's Services, and Tom Mansfield from Regina Coroner's Office. These professionals handled a difficult situation with utmost kindness and compassion. Words cannot fully express our gratitude. Our thanks also to Bonnie, Roberta, and Michelle from Speers Funeral Chapel, for their compassionate support during this difficult time. A Celebration of Risa’s life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. Theme: Be a Rainbow. We ask anyone who attends to wear bright colours.
