HASSMAN, Monica nee Wollbaum

Monica passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, October 15, 2020 in Regina, SK at the age of 84 years.  She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Harold; three daughters Cheryl (Jim) Pratt and children Landon Gendur and Caitlin Gendur; Charlene (Ken) Perry and children Matthew (Lacy) Gibson and their family Emery and Nora; Justin Gibson, Amber (Jeremy) Mayes and their son Jesse, Marshall (Britney) Gibson; Colette (Chad) Pellerin and children Ryan, Dylan, Zachary Hassman-Watson and Kaitlynn and Mathew Pellerin.  Monica is also survived by  brothers, Paul (Agnes) Wollbaum of Calgary, AB and Andy (Marlene) Wollbaum of Rivers, MB; brothers and sisters-in-laws Bill Litzenberger, Angie Wollbaum, Linda Wollbaum, Emilia Hassman, Lorraine Tressel, Norman (Shirley) Hassman and Lloyd (Donelda) Hassman as well as numerous  nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   Monica was predeceased by her parents, John and Barbara Wollbaum; siblings Eddie, Pauline Litzenberger, Robert and David.   Monica’s family was the most important thing to her. It all started when she married Harold, the love of her life, on October 4, 1958.  She would always put everyone else before herself.  Monica considered her family her greatest accomplishment.  She was very proud of her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.  Our family would like to extend our gratitude to Chaplain Jerry Fitzgerald, the General Hospital Unit 5A nurses, with a special thank you to nurses Sheila, Wendy, Autumn, Rigel and Marissa as well as to Dr. Dalkilic for the care they gave to Monica.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 1738 Quebec Ave., #26, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9.
