Dear Close Family & Friends,
I am writing to invite you to an online memorial in remembrance of my mother, Zwaantien “Jeane” Buyze Heerspink which be held on Sunday, November 15 at 3:00 PM (ET). The memorial will be held via Zoom - details below.
My wonderful mother passed away on Friday October 30, 2020. On Saturday November 7, 2020 at 3:30 PM (ET), my mother’s body was laid to rest in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. At that same time, I gave my own funeral service and eulogy online. The past week has been an insurmountable struggle of absence and loss, and your presence at the online memorial would provide an incredible space of solace and memory.
For the online memorial, I invite all of you to share a memory, a reflection, a thought, a quote, an idea, a song, a photo, indeed just your mindful presence, or any manner in which you would like to celebrate her life. Any form of being present conveys so many forms of meaning. Given that we are across different time zones in the world, please do let me know if you would like to share, so I can plan ahead.
After that, there will certainly be time for conversation, thinking, and reflection. The memorial begins at 3:00 PM (ET) and will continue ad infinitum.
I’m immensely looking forward to sharing a time of remembrance and contemplation with all of you as we reflect on the significance of Zwaantien’s life, and what this means for all of us in thinking about mortality and what it means to be human.
I love you all. I so look forward to seeing you at my mother’s memorial and celebration of her life.
Love,
David M. Buyze

Sincere Sympathy to you Jane, Sandy, David and your families. Both Jack and Jeane were so kind and gracious. Jeane was especially a supportive loving friend for my mom, Clarice Van Der Meulen. I remember so clearly visits when we were children at your home and in later years I would take mom to visit Jeane. Always the gift of music was present and a good cup of tea. I still have a plant growing that your mom gave me many years ago. It is a treasure to me. Your mom was a very special lady. Our family was blessed to have been touched her.
Our condolences- Deborah (Ron)Kach
