To Pauline, Chris and Paul, our deepest sympathy to you and your extended families. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
I had the privilege to get to know Don and to serve with him on a number of Boards and committees over the years including the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the Saskatchewan Knife Makers Guild. His energy and volunteerism were boundless and his passion for the outdoors and wildlife was infectious. He gave selflessly of his time and energies to many organizations and we are all better off for his contributions.
I will always remember Don and as one of the most kind and gentle souls that i know. He always had time to say hello and to chat about anything and everything, from the cottage, to hunting, to trucks. He was quick to laugh and never complained. I especially enjoyed listening to his hunting stories and of course sharing a few of my own with him. One constant was his stories about his family, always talking about his shared times with Pauline, and his children and his face always lit up as he would tell stories of the times he got to spend with his grandchildren. He was so proud of you all and I feel that i've gotten to know you through his stories and anecdotes.
May you find peace and comfort in the countless memories of Don
