Beulah Stinson

Obituary of Beulah Catherine Stinson

STINSON, Beulah Catherine (nee Cameron)

May 18, 1927 – August 13, 2021

Beulah passed away peacefully at the age of 94 years in the Pasqua Hospital palliative centre. She was born in Regina and grew up in Mankota, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her husband Glen; parents Mildred and Wallace Cameron; brother Gordon “Scotty” Cameron; and sadly, by her son Daniel Scott Stinson on June 20, 2021. Beulah is survived by daughters Shelley Hawkes and Betty-Ann Price (Darryl); Dan's wife Gail; sons Richard and Wes; her brother Bill Cameron (Christine); sister-in-law Joan Cameron; her nieces and nephews, and her beloved 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Over the years, Beulah and Glen welcomed numerous exchange students from around the world, who became members of their extended family. Beulah and Glen both grew up in Mankota and both of their families moved to Regina in the early 1940's. They were married on Sep. 10, 1949. They were founding members of Wesley United Church and enjoyed the fellowship and lifelong friendships made there. Beulah and Glen travelled extensively. They formed Glengarry Tours in 1969 and originally “led the way” on multi-family camping trips in Canada and the USA. They then began tours to countries world-wide; more than 50 tours in total. Beulah volunteered with special needs children swimming, Buffalo Days, Government House Historical Society, Rotary International projects, and numerous other activities and was still active into her 80's with  Meals on Wheels, Reading Buddy at Wascana School and visitations with high school history students. For the last 13 years (11 Years on her own) she lived at Broadway Terrace in Regina, where she was an active member of the community. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Unit for making our mother's final days comfortable.  Mom did not want a funeral. She always said “If you're going to have a Celebration of Life for me... do it while I'm still here to enjoy it.” So we did, on the occasion of her 90th Birthday. The family will be holding a private Memorial at a future date.  To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.speersfuneralchapel.com
