Dear Robin, Greg and Lorrie, Colleen and Henri and families. So sorry to hear of Tim's passing. Like everyone (I imagine) it was shocking news to hear. All the years I knew Tim, he was fit and healthy with his trademark "what me worry" attitude. My mother always described Tim's parents, Ben and Mary as being such kind friendly people and I can't think of a better way to describe Tim. Please accept our condolences ...

So so sorry to hear of Tim’s passing. He was such a gentle and kind person. I have fond memories of Christmas Eve parties at our place in Whitefish with Tim and the whole Murphy clan. And of course at both the Lakeshore Club and Lakeshore Estates - whether he was playing tennis or squash it was always so good to see him. Tho I was the younger sister in the Drope family he always had time for me, which was the essence of Tim. My heartfelt condolences to Robin and to the Murphy family. With love, Jane Drope Pittet

I was so saddened to hear about Tim's passing, and my heart goes out to Robin, Greg, Colleen and all of Tim's family and friends so deeply affected by the loss. It has been many years since I've seen him, but Timmy Murphy and I were play pals in kindergarten through until about grade 3 or 4, a friendship somewhat fostered and framed by nuns who taught us in those early years. These nuns were kind and fun, and Timmy and I were teachers' pets, roles somewhat earned by virtue of our parents' connections and work within the community and Christ the King Church, which we all attended in those days. A few times I was invited out to the Murphy cottage at Katepwa, along with Sister Mary John and Sister Jean Marie, for a summer afternoon of baseball, lemonade and snacks. It was all very relaxed, fun and natural despite what might on the surface seem like a strange guest list. The Murphy family created a welcoming place. Timmy and I also enjoyed the occasional after-school hang out in the Murphy basement where we would dare each other to try this strange, space-aged device called a German Wheel that would rotate your body a full 360 degrees in a vertical plane. It was a sophisticated, unique and brave piece of play equipment, and from reading all the heartfelt and thoughtful memories of Tim, it seems that perhaps sophisticated, unique, brave and playful was a natural fit for the child I knew, and the man Tim became. I wish I had known him as an adult, and though our meetings past the age of 14 were very few, I was aware of the excellent life he had built for himself with Robin, and in his legal profession. The loss of such a substantial and vital person is profound and widely felt.

So, so sad to hear about Tim’s passing away. So many fond memories from earlier days in Regina, law school, and regular trips back to Regina over the years, playing squash, tennis, always a beer or two afterwards, and just hanging out and chatting about life with Tim. Tim was always so friendly, warm and a pleasure to spend time with. He will be dearly missed.
From the entire Morgan family our deepest condolences to Robin and the Murphy family. Mike Morgan.
