Obituary of Leanne Christine Miles
It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Leanne on November 9, 2022. Leanne fought a long and brave battle with cancer. She beat cancer 9 years ago but it returned and she fought it for 2 years. She endured numerous rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and did so with strength and grace.
Leanne was predeceased by her best friend and sister, Leslie, as well as the father of her children, Duffy. She will be forever admired, adored, and loved by her 2 daughters, Whitney and Chelsea, as well as her 3 granddaughters, Kiyonna, Rosario, and Lilith. She will be remembered and missed by family, her very dear friend Doreen, the Thursday night “Rider Ladies", and many other friends and acquaintances.
Leanne was a proud owner and lifelong fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. She held season tickets and attended Grey Cups for 20+ years. She loved music, singing and dancing. Over the years she read many books, saw many plays/musicals, enjoyed much travel, and loved trying different restaurants across the provinces. Her passions included her girls, politics, our community, and continuous learning. Leanne was tough yet lady like, crafty, creative, smart, and stylish. She held herself to a high standard in most areas of her life. She had a strong work ethic, a dignified character, and a deeply rooted sense of right and wrong.
Leanne was very fun loving, charming, sassy, with a superb sense of humour.
Her working years consisted of several different roles, and she seemed to enjoy each of them.
In Leanne’s memory please enjoy your loved ones and each day as you wish.
On behalf of Leanne’s daughters, we’d like to say thank you to the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital, numerous health care providers, Rita G., Jan R., and Speers Funeral Home.
A private celebration of Leanne’s life will be held at her home.
