L. Peter Morin, late of Regina, SK, passed away surrounded by his family on December 21, 2022, at the age of 73. Predeceased by his parents Edmond Morin and Lorna (Willoughan), his brother David and his granddaughter Makenna Schwebius, Peter is survived by his wife, Valerie, his daughters Keri Schwebius (Dean) and Lindsay Karst (Joe Bossenberry), his grandchildren Katie, Hayden, Laine, Hunter and David, his siblings Jim (Evelyn) Morin, Heather (Jim) Lewis and Valerie (Mark) Vidotto, sister-in-law Darlene (Roger) Wheatley, brother-in-law Michael (Brenda) Sliva, sister-in-law Brenda Morin and numerous nieces and nephews.

Peter was born in White River, ON and grew up in Thunder Bay, ON. He moved his family to Regina in 1978. Peter loved his work and was passionate about his entrepreneurial endeavours, including his accounting practice, Western CML Cleaners, Capital Window Cleaning and Lormit Legal Support Solutions. Peter was also passionate about helping others. His generosity reached far beyond his friends and family. He was an active member of the Queen City Kiwanis Club and gave his time and expertise to a number of community organizations over the years, earning him the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. He was especially proud of leading the creation of Amalgamated Charities, a non-profit corporation formed in 2002 to assist its charitable and non-profit members to raise funds for various charitable causes, and the annual Christmas hampers the Kiwanis club delivered to families living in poverty.

Most of all, Peter loved his family. He enjoyed travelling with his wife Valerie and his pride in his daughters and grandchildren was always evident.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to Dr. John Morris, as well as the caregivers of the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic and unit 3B at the Pasqua Hospital.

A Funeral Service will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, January 9, 2023, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Allan Blair Cancer Centre or the Canadian Cancer Society.
