Obituary of Richard John Babynec

Richard passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was the son of Helen and Bernie Babynec, and is survived by his brother Ernie and his nieces Anna Ziprick (Jonathan) and Alexandra Haselich (Adam). Born in Winnipeg, Richard relocated to Regina in 1985 to work as an optician. He was employed for 20 years at Future Vision Optical, where he built a loyal following of customers and made many friends. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him in Regina and in Winnipeg, where he often returned to visit family and friends. Anyone who knew Richard would agree that he was a wonderful person. Kind, thoughtful, with a sharp wit, he was good company, and a person everyone appreciated knowing. According to Richard’s wishes, there will be no service. Those who wish to make a donation in Richard's name are asked to pick a charity of their choice.
