It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peter Anthony Bell on Friday, February 10, 2023.

Pete was born on August 10, 1960 in Regina, SK. Pete is survived by his daughters Alana Shearer-Kleefeld (Darryl), Tara Brittin (Jeremy), Rana Nixon (Doug); siblings Glenn, Elsie (Lorna), and Tim (Tracey); grandchildren Trista (Katrina), Keenan (Campbell), Olivia, and Charles; niece Bobbie (Marci) and nephew Bryan (Soutchai); and dear friend Sylvia Hoffman.

Pete was predeceased by his life partner Allen Shearer; mother Elsie (nee Jackson); father Arthur; step-mother Ruth; and sister-in-law Georgina.

For the past 38 years, Pete owned and operated Wavelength Salon in the Glencairn Shopping Centre. He was known for his out-going personality and love of laughter. Pete truly valued every customer and the friendships that he built through the years. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you for the support you provided to Pete at “the shop” and to him personally over the past seven months of his illness.

In July 2022, Pete was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer. He was a walking miracle through rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. Pete always kept a positive attitude. He didn’t think about his cancer. Instead, he would think about the happy times with Al, family, and friends. It is Pete’s wish that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory.

A celebration of Pete’s life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave, Regina, SK on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 2:00 pm. We extend our sincerest thanks for the care Pete, and our family, received from the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic and Palliative Home Care, especially Lindsey and Vanessa. We will forever be grateful to Sylvia Hoffman for the countless hours of compassionate care she gave to Pete through his end of life journey.
