I worked with Sandi at Public Health and truly enjoyed doing so. You always knew where you stood with her. She was generous, caring, and had a delightful sense of humour - not to mention efficient and effective. My sympathies to her family and friends. I have some delightful memories of her. Sending my love to all of Sandi’s loved ones. What a wonderful woman. Sandi came on a retreat with myself and 12 other women in Arizona in 2017. It was a magical time! She surprised us with a quilted piece of art of a phoenix and 13 butterflies to represent all 13 of us. Sandi became a friend quickly. She had a lot of love and saw the world with a spectrum of diversity spiritually and energetically. To me she was a healer. She was an empath. And she loved her people (she never stopped talking about her children and grandchildren with pride and excitement. I loved that she never held back. Blunt truth was one of her special gifts. I also have a piece of her spirit animal paintings. I’ll cherish the memories I have of Sandi forever. Spread your wings my friend. Pure love, Jen MacFarlane

I have so many memories of Sandra sitting around a kitchen table with my parents and my Uncle and Aunt. They talked for hours on how to make this province better and stronger. She was a friend to many and a fierce advocate who raised a great family. Her legacy will live on.
